Binding by Mark Bauer, Warsaw (signed in dry-erase on back cover). Wide half leather richly decorated. Gilded abbreviated titlepage of both works and gilded Austrian eagle on the face of the binding. Spine divided into 6 fields, most of which are occupied by the publisher's title, author's name, in the lower field the owner's initial "L.K.". Cover boards of decorative marbled paper.

Ex-libris of Lech Kokociński. Stamps of the Association of Handicraftsmen and Industrialists, the Reading Society and the Casino in Drohobych. First item with heavy staining and foxing. Book was disinfected from BN chamber. Map cut off in the middle. A few pages rearranged at the beginning under the heading "Ueber die Flora" (compared to the Polony piece).

Edward HÜCKEL (1830-1896) - botanist, educator, gymnasium teacher in Drohobych, Przemyśl, Lviv, Stanislawow, director of the Fourth State Gymnasium in Lviv, school councillor and national inspector of secondary schools, author of floristic works and a textbook on botany for gymnasiums and real schools, member of the Physiographic Commission of the Cracow Scientific Society, and later associate of the Physiographic Commission of the Academy of Sciences.
