Binding: fawn, gilt titling and decoration on spine, front and back cover of period, gilt decorative titling on front cover. The work is entirely chromolithographed according to drawings by M. Fajans (1825-1890), a Polish illustrator of Jewish descent who specialized in lithography and photography. Gilt edges of pages. Title page with gilt-printed text and lithographed color composition of flowers. The offered work includes poems by A. Mickiewicz, Deotyma, W. Pol, W. Syrokomla, A. E. Odynieć, B. Zaleski, W. Wolski, S. Pruszakowa, among others. The text is interspersed with fifteen full-page images of flowers. A beautiful example of Polish editorial artistry in the 19th century. very rare.
