[MÊKICKI Rudolf]. Ex libris of Rudolf Mękicki.
Woodcut on sheet 8.3x5.7 cm. Roofs and towers of historic Lviv. Composition by Stanislaw Zgainski, signed on the woodblock with bound monogram S. Z. Very good condition.
R. Mękicki (1887-1942) - graphic artist, creator of ex-librises (ca. 160), covers and book illustrations, curator of the National Museum in Lviv, bibliophile. His library, collected in Lviv, included about 2,000 items, mainly in numismatics, heraldry and ex-libris. He had an extensive numismatic and iconographic collection and a collection of ex-librises.
