Biographical note :
" Born in 1909 in Skoczów, died in 1995 there. Painter and graphic artist. From 1928 to 1935 he studied at the State School of Decorative Arts in Cracow. After graduating from the Cracow school in 1939, he began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He studied wall and easel painting and artistic printmaking under Prof. L. Pękalski, T. Pruszkowski and S. Ostoi-Chrostowski. He systematically participated in local, district and national exhibitions, including: the National Art Exhibition in Warsaw (1952), the Festival of Art in Sopot (1962), the Biennale of Graphics in Cracow (1964), the Triennale of Drawings in Wroclaw (1965, 1968), the Festival of Contemporary Art in Szczecin (1969, 1971). In addition to his professional activities, Edward Biszorski actively participated in social life, among other things, he was president and long-time activist of the Skoczow Town Circle of PTTK, one of the founders and honorary member of the Skoczow Enthusiasts Society, as well as a tireless animator of culture and originator of many projects related to the town. He was part of the committee organizing the 700th anniversary of Skoczow in 1967, being responsible for the visual setting of the celebration. He was the organizer of a cyclical review of the works of amateur artists of the Podbeskidzie region. He repeatedly stood up for historic buildings, opting for a unified urban planning concept for the city. "
