DUCHIÑSKA Seweryna - Polish Kings in Images and Songs. Poetic part ..., introduction in prose by Wojciech Dzieduszycki, drawing by Walery Eljasz. Poznan 1893; druk. Dziennik Poznański. Nakł. Karol Kozlowski. 4, pp. [4], XV, [1], 128, [3], plates 48. oryg. fl. decor.
Covers slightly stained, plywood lined in spine, repaired damage to margins of several pages, glued loss of corner of one page, otherwise good condition. Dedicated in print to Zdzisław Czartoryski. The images of the rulers are shown in rich staffage symbolizing the times and circumstances of their reign. Thus, around the portraits one can see historic edifices, elements of armament, coats of arms, musical instruments, monuments. At the end, information explaining the layout of the plates: "There are 48 engravings, i.e. 44 images of Polish princes and kings, then 3 paintings from pre-Piast times, and finally an engraving, depicting Kosciuszko, Glowacki and Kilinski." Infrequent.
