Eugeniusz Nowak (1943-2023) - professional soldier, historian, museologist. In 2001-2012 employee of the Department of Militaria of the National Museum in Krakow, which he headed from 2001 to 2008. He was the author of books and articles, among the most important are: "Reconnaissance Squadron of the 10th Cavalry Brigade 1938 - 1939" (Krakow, 1999) and "10th Dragons Regiment" (Krakow, 2005-2006). He was also a cartoonist, and his "crannies" were published in Przekrój in 1999.
