The work "Entretiens sur la pluralite des mondes" (On the Plurality of Worlds) (1st ed.: 1686) by French scholar Bernard Le Bovier de Fontenelle (1657-1757), member of three French Academies. The work on offer is a popular scientific book in which the author proposed an explanation of the heliocentric model of the universe suggested by Nicolaus Copernicus in his 1543 work. The book is Autroa's most famous work and is considered one of the first works in the Age of Enlightenment. The work was translated into Polish by X. Eustachi Debicki and published in Warsaw in 1765. It contains a copperplate showing the Copenican planetary system.
