Jean-Pierre de Crousaz (1663-1750) - "Swiss theologian and philosopher, Cartesianist, known more for his letters with commentaries than for his published works. He was a versatile man, and his many works on a wide range of subjects became very famous and fashionable during his time, but were later forgotten.
