Beautiful bookbinding, unsigned, brown leather, with gilt and brawn decorations on the face and spine. Good condition, no discoloration of spine, copy uncut, top edge of pages gilt. The novel Chance was first published in 1913, the writer's first work that brought him financial success and freedom from debt. Despite variable reviews, the book was an unexpected success.
