First two-volume edition of Millot's work, published in Krakow in 1815 by Jozef Matecki, Gröblowskiey bookstore and printing house. The Roman History was translated from the French by Jozef Girtler. In the pages of his work, Millot gave a brief history of Rome and J. Blaschke, Jos. Stöber, M. Pöltzel, P.I. Weindl, M. Bauer and other artists gave the work a unique illustrative setting in the form of dozens of copybooks (copper engravings).
