Trace of moisture at upper edge of front cover and first pages, loss of part of back cover. copy partly uncut. Handwritten dedication by the author to Kazimierz Mitera, painter and art critic. Letterpress composition on front cover. A novel by A. Ciompa (1901-1935) - a promising painter, graphic artist and writer. The author died in the Tatra Mountains while climbing Lomnica. He had a large body of work as a designer and interior decorator of Evangelical Lutheran churches in southern Poland. He also designed stained glass windows.
