Philosophical musings on the movement of the Earth. Giuseppe Carlucci (c.1710 - c.1790) - Italian professor and astronomer; one of the first professors to teach at the Univ. of Altamura. In the offered treatise (published anonymously), the author opposes the Church's interference in matters of science; he considers himself a popularizer of Newton's and Gellius' theories. Good condition, non-staining of the binding, traces of yellowing and staining in places on the pages.
