Polish Code of Honor (also known as the Boziewicz Code) - a 1919 publication on the rules of honorable conduct, including the holding of duels, by Wladyslaw Boziewicz. In interwar Poland, the basic document (albeit extra-legal) regulating these rules.

In the Code one can see an attempt to modernize the rules on dueling. Persons who are "honorable," i.e., capable of dueling, are considered to be not only nobles, but also male persons who, by virtue of their education, personal intelligence, social position or birth, rise above the ordinary level of an honest man including those with at least a high school education or who are engaged in creative professions, as well as those who hold important social functions ([...]According to this principle, honorable satisfaction should be given to a villager who is a member of the parliament. - Article 5).

The author also shows concern that a duel should cause as little harm to one's health as possible (hence, for example, he points out the requirement to disinfect white weapons). He also prohibits duels fought by design until the death of one of the participants. Compared to earlier times, it also narrows the type of weapons considered honorable. On the other hand, however, it does not allow apologies or excuses after the terms of the duel have already been established (this can be done earlier or after the duel has already taken place). It also discourages (although allows) duels "to the first blood," since this kind of condition reduces the duel to an order of fun, in which a slight scratch gives the opportunity to pretend to be a cheap hero (Art. 230).
