Spines and corners of the binding with minor abrasions, good condition overall. Discrete marginalia in period ink in places. Pieces come from the family collection of Jan Antoni Danielski (1884-1948) - a collector, from 1918 a teacher at the 1st St. Konarski Classical Gymnasium in Rzeszow, honored in 1937 with the title of "gymnasium professor" by the Minister of Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment. On spines in gilt: author's name, title, volume number and alphabetical range of entries placed in each volume. Each volume vol. ca. 400 pages, in almost every volume spreads genealog. tables. Volume 16 obj. 280 p. Together with volume XVI co-opr. volume of supplements: "Herbarz polski. Supplements and Corrigenda to Part I" arranged and published by the author in 1901 with 240 pages (should have 256). Herbarz unfinished, 16 volumes were published, covering the Aaron-Makomascy entries. One of the best Polish coats of arms compiled on the basis of very rich archival material; after the author's death in 1909 the work was continued by Artur Reiski and Włodzimierz Dworzaczek.
