The cover was designed by Konstanty Sopoćko. Engravings according to photographs by Henryk Poddębski. A novel by Jerzy Bandrowski, depicting the fate of Jan Morski, who is a sailor and sails the seas of the world under the Polish flag. He tells of his uneasy childhood, his fascination with Polish seaside towns (Puck, Hel, Jastarnia), his beginnings in the service and his adventures at sea.
