Debut volume by the Warsaw poet and activist of the anti-communist movement during the communist era. "In 1964 Barbara Sadowska was interviewed as part of the investigation into the death of Bohdan Piasecki. Influenced by the March events of 1968 and the December events of 1970, she had been active in the anti-communist opposition since the 1970s, for which she was persecuted by the Security Service, including being arrested several times. Because of her attempts to transport banned literature from Paris to People's Poland and to sign against constitutional amendments, she was under surveillance by Department III of the KS Citizen's Militia [...]. Banned from traveling abroad until 1977 [...]. In the spring of 1983, she was beaten during an attack by militiamen from an anti-terrorist unit ("unknown perpetrators") on the committee to help the internees, located at St. Martin's Church in Warsaw. Shortly thereafter, her son Grzegorz Przemyk was murdered by officers of the Civic Militia" (Wikipedia).
