Decorated and graphically arranged by Kazimiera Adamska-Rouba.

The work, written in 1905 and set in the Tatra scenery, relating to the conflict of the sexes, was dedicated to the author's second wife Jadwiga, who abandoned her children and her husband, the poet Jan Kasprowicz, for him.

Zbigniew Kaliszczak (1903-1985) - graphic artist, painter, sculptor. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Stefan Batory University in 1932 with honors, graphic design at the Leipzig Academy of Graphic Arts. Eager to experiment, he used a variety of techniques: etching, aquatint, linocut and, above all, drypoint, in which technique he published three portfolios entitled Vilnius (1928-1931).
