This postcard features a portrait of Polish poet and national hero Adam Mickiewicz, one of the most prominent figures of Polish Romanticism.

The postcard was published by Brüder Kohn (B.K.W.I.) in Vienna, a publishing house known for its artistic prints and postcards during the 19th century. At the bottom of the postcard, the name "Mickiewicz Adam" is inscribed.
