A unique Polish cultural periodical published in. 1859-1939.The most widely read illustrated magazine of the second half of the 19th century became famous primarily for its literary section, as evidenced by the pieces sold. Well, issue No. 3 of January 18, 1902 contains the first section of Władysław Reymont's "Peasants". The novel was published in this periodical from January 18, 1902 to January 26, 1908. The volume also contains the first printing of Stefan Zeromski's novel "Ashes," the first episode of which appeared in No. 23 of June 7, 1902. The subject of the sale is the first half of 1902, i.e. 26 issues from 4 I to 28 VI.
Period binding, dark brown half leather in poor condition for restoration with loss and rubbing, especially at edges; back cover loose; spine foredge to be reglued; interior in average condition, occasional tears at margins; main deficiency is the absence of first p.
