oil, canvas, 150 x 130 cm signed and described on the reverse: Kamil/Kukla/20SEG
Kamil Kukla (b. 1989, Tarnów) From 2008 to 2013 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He received his diploma in 2013 at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in the studio of Prof. Hernyk Ożóg.
Kukla's work is most often inscribed in the area of painting growing from the root of surrealism. Art historians and critics point to Erna Rosenstein, Jerzy Kujawski or Alfred Lenice as Kukla's closest artistic patrons.
Kamil Kukla's paintings balance between representation and abstraction. The artist's lush, elaborate compositions consist of fanciful organic forms. The color scheme of Kukla's paintings is a subdued but rich palette, in which we usually find pinks, greens and blues.
The artist's works can be found in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow MOCAK, the National Museum in Gdansk and numerous private collections.
