Sample of the ten-zloty coin designed by Antoni Madeyski, which took second place in the competition for the design of the first gold coin of the Second Republic, announced in 1925. The competition was won by Zofia Trzcinska-Kaminska's work with Boleslaw Chrobry.
The distinctive design depicting a worker with an axe and a workeress, inscribed in a wreath of fruits and vegetables, lived to see only a trial issue.
