A collection of legends, historical stories, and memoirs illustrating Polish proverbs and adages. The book was written as the aftermath of a competition for a "treatise on customs, habits, legends and folk songs and proverbs" held in 1828 by the Warsaw Society of Friends of Science. Wójcicki's text was the only one submitted to the competition, the editors in this situation canceled the contest. The author used the collected material in compiling the three-volume work presented here. Infrequent.
