"Faithful River" - a 1912 novel by Stefan Zeromski, set during the January Uprising.

The work tells the story of the love between a young noblewoman Salomea Brynicka and an insurgent wounded in the battle of Małogoszcz, Prince Józef Odrowąż. The plot of the novel takes place from February 25 to June 1863, during the January Uprising, mostly in the manor house of Niezdoły on the Łośna River in the Świętokrzyskie region. The places, people and history described in the novel had a real-life prototype."
