[CHIROMANCE, manuscript]. Notebook with a handwritten description of the principles of chiromancy, and to a lesser extent phrenology, probably made during the years of World War II, with the seal of the officers' prisoner of war camp XVIII C in Spittal, Austria.
Notes form. 10.6x14.3 cm, k. 58 written on both sides + 37 blank, original cloth binding. Line paper. On the front cover a hand-drawn shield in ink with the initials of (owner?) F. J. Polish text, with a few deletions and corrections, on 58 double-sided notated pages, pasted in various places 21 plates of tracing paper with ink drawings explaining the text. At the end is a short appendix on phrenology, physiognomy, as well as a short chapter on "Writing as an expression of astral influences on man." The last 37 pages remain unsigned. Cover rubbing, block slightly loose.
