Historical account of the war between the Imperial and Ottoman armies, from the beginning of the Hungarian uprising to 1683; special attention is given to the siege and liberation of Vienna (Odsiecz Wien). The offered work includes portraits of, among others, John III Sobieski, Leopold I Habsburg, Ernst Rüdiger von Starhemberg and Mehmed IV; the folding board features a color drawing of the Grand Vizier's banner captured by the Polish king. Second edition, expanded to include the acquisition of the important city of Ostrzychom. Good condition, handwritten inscriptions on the title page, browning on the pages and in places non-sticking.
