S. Kisielewski (1911-1991) - novelist, publicist, composer, music critic, educator, member of the Sejm of the People's Republic of Poland (Znak), co-founder of the Union of Real Politics. His greatest popularity came from his weekly columns in Tygodnik Powszechny, signed with the code name "Kisiel." Many texts, published in music magazines, were devoted to jazz, he is the author of the introduction to the books "U brzegów jazzu: L. Tyrmand and "Citizen jazz" by J. Radlinski.
J. Skarżyński (1924-2004) - painter, theatrical and film set designer, illustrator, creator of comic books; graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology, member of the 2nd Cracow Group, author of set designs for the films "Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass", "The Doll", "The Saragossa Manuscript" and many others. He was a lover and promoter of jazz in Poland, creating posters for the 1st and 2nd Jazz Music Festival in Sopot in 1956 and 1957 and designing the layout of the printed programs for these events.
As one can judge from the dedication posted here, the two men shared a love of more than just jazz.
