Dimensions 37x28.5 cm, covers in dark green, 10 sheets (including 2 photographs and 3 lithographs), gray pastedowns, tissue guards in front of photographs, maker's signature: August Habenicht Wien.
Good condition, covers detached from block, unpaginated, block loose. Tribute address dated August 1860 to the Emperor Ferdinand's Imperial Court Counsellor and Inspector General of the Northern Railway. Iss. By the technical officials of the railroad on the occasion of the presentation of a cup to celebrate the inspector's recovery. Includes two original photographs (of H. Francesoni and the cup), a long rhymed panegyric, and three lithographed boards: the titulature of the recipient, details of the cup, and an inscription on its base. All in decorative paperback covers with blind embossing and Francesconi's superexpress on the front.
Hermenegild Ritter von Francesconi (1795-1862) Austrian railroad engineer, pioneer of the work on the Kaiser Ferdinands-Nordbahn project, inspector general of the same until 1862, honorary citizen of Prague, Brno, Olomouc, Opava and Krakow (according to the text from the address, in the currently available list of honorary citizens of the city of Krakow not noted).
