BURSA Andrzej - Poems. Cracow 1958. wyd. Literackie 16d, pp. 127, [1], plate 1. broch.
Spine browned, inside very good condition. Cover designed by Zofia Wilczkowa. The first volume of poetry by Andrzej Bursa (1932-1957), published posthumously. The author, a representative of the "Contemporaneity" generation, is counted among the cursed poets. "There is so much pain, so much chagrin and bitter irony in these poems, when read together, that they become the most tragic documents [...]. Bursa could not adopt the carefree attitude of the young poets, turned away from all issues [...]. Bursa's social attitude approaches some kind of desperate anarchism" (A. Kamienska in Creativity, quoted in M. Fik "Polish Culture after Yalta", London 1989, p. 312).
