BARBARA NAWRATOWICZ AND KAZIMIERZ WIŚNIAK co-founded Piwnica Pod Baranami: "The first monologue in "Piwnica" was a story about a cruel marquis, written by Kazimierz Wisniak for just for Basia Nawratowicz. Wisniak later wrote two other monologues for Basia: Symphony, the story of the marquise's clock (which was Krzys Litwin) and Isidore. One of the first skits was a "strip-tease"; in the "political" - Basia Nawratowicz took the subtitles off Joanna Olczakówna's back: "Life Foot," "Flour," "Bread," "Coal," and in "Bicycle" - the same Basia defiantly took apart.... bicycle for parts. Taking apart a bicycle was the greatest perversion that could be shown in 1956-1958."
