A recruitment poster, addressed to Poles from the Russian partition, issued in 1915 by the Military Department of the Supreme National Committee (whose head was Lt. Col. Władysław Sikorski). On the right side, an extensive text, calling for joining the Polish Legions ("Compatriots! It's time to stand up and take up arms"). Below: "Conditions for joining the Legions - Legal Position of Legionaries", regarding the rights of volunteers. On the left side of the poster is a lithograph, depicting a Legionnaire and the text "Hey! Who Pole to bayonets" - the work of Karol Zyndram Maszkowski (1868-1938), stained-glass painter, interior designer, stage designer. The artist was a member of the Sokol since 1913, a lancer of the Second Brigade of the Legions since September 1914, then an officer of the order of Edward Rydz Smigly. After minor conservation. Traces of folding, small losses of paper completed - see photos. Piece of this unique poster is in the collection of the National Library (described and reproduced in the book: "Above Gold More Precious. Treasures of the National Library". Warsaw 2003, p. 206).
