Rokosz Zebrzydowskiego also known as the Sandomierz rokosz - "a rebellion of the nobility against Sigismund III Vasa that lasted from 1606 to 1607 [...]. The uprising was suppressed militarily, causing a decline in confidence in royal power. The king was accused of favoring Jesuits and foreigners and was attributed with the intention to introduce absolute power [...]. In 1606-1607 there was the Zebrzydowski rebellion [...], in which Catholics as well as Protestants, magnates as well as nobles fought to take away the monarch's right to distribute exempted offices and force him to banish Jesuits and foreigners [...]. The leaders of the rebellion became Grand Marshal of the Crown Mikolaj Zebrzydowski, Jan Szczęsny Herburt, Stanislaw Devil Stadnicki and Janusz Radziwill, a Lithuanian exchequer. They wanted to dethrone Sigismund III Vasa, in addition to introducing the electability of land officials at sejmiks and forcing MPs to strictly follow sejmik instructions [...]. The rokosz ended with the king's victory at the Battle of Guzow in 1607, but the consolidation of royal power was thwarted" (Wikipedia).
