A work by an Italian physician on the methods of curing by bloodletting (according to the teachings of Galen, an ancient Roman physician who had a tremendous influence on the development of medical science in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance). Orazio Augenio (1527-1603) - Italian physician of the Renaissance era. He was a typical representative of medicine with a philosophical and naturalistic basis, but his works are characterized by astuteness and originality. His most important scientific achievements were related to fever, bursal stones, plague, neuropathology, pregnancy and bloodletting.
