Watercolor on paper. Signed p.d.: "S.Gibinski". Dimensions: 33.5 x 48 cm (in frame: 40.5 x 55 cm).
Stanislaw Gibinski (1882-1971), began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, already as a mature man, in 1908 under J. Fałat. During World War I he served in the Legions . In painting he used both oil paints and watercolors. He mainly painted landscapes, often winter landscapes, genre scenes and still lifes. He exhibited at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts. The painter masterfully reproduced the moodiness of the situations depicted. He made excellent use of watercolor. Until the end of his activity, he remained under the clear influence of his excellent teacher, Julian Fałat. (Altius). Slight damage to the edges of the frame.
