Condition b. good. George Leonard Staunton (1737-1801), English physician, diplomat and traveler. In 1792-1794 he was a member of Macartney's envoy to China, as his secretary. Upon his return to England, he wrote an official report entitled Account of an Embassy from the King of Great Britain to the Emperor of China (1797). Roman Markiewicz (1772-1841), physicist, lecturer on physics with general issues of physical geography and meteorology. Author of works and textbooks on physics. After studying in Vienna and Paris, he became a professor of physics at the Jagiellonian University. Rare.
