Biography
Graduated in 2004 from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Jerzy Nowakowski. In 2007 he opened his first sculpture and painting studio, where he has completed many contract commissions for private individuals, film, advertising, the Wieliczka Salt Mine Tourist Route Museum, the Museum of the City of Cracow under the plate of the main square, the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Krakowskie Przedmieście in Warsaw. He is the author of the sculptural decoration, design and execution of altar furniture for the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Rosary Road complex in Hlinik nad Hronom, Slovakia. In 2013, together with a second investor, he established the Dydodecor project to promote a brand for intimate sculpture based on the traditions and technologies used in porcelain manufactories. In 2009, together with Zbigniew Blajerski, he was awarded a prize in a closed competition for the restoration of figures for the Altar of the Blessed Sacrament in the Holy Cross Church in Warsaw. The work on restoring the figures of the upper story, the frieze and the fine woodcarving was done in 2009-12. In 2013, he was the winner of an honorable mention in the international competition Crossroads of Freedom. A year later in the same, he was awarded first prize for the art installation project "Arrange yourselves FREEDOM"-realization. In 2015, he won 1st place ex aequo for the spatial form "Sweet as candy" in the international competition Crossroads of Freedom - implementation. In his work he draws on themes from the world of broadly understood culture, with which he balances between classical and pop cultural styles, treating them problematically, socially or with wit and lightness.
