He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (studio of Krystyna Cybińska). In 1986 he received his diploma, receiving the rector's award for it and the award of the Minister of Culture and Art. After graduation, he took a job at his alma mater, and has been a full professor since 2002. He works in ceramics and oil painting. He has created ceramic series consisting of life-size sculptures depicting human figures.
Among his many successes is winning a gold medal at the 47th International Artistic Ceramics Competition in Faenza in 1991. He was also a participant in the international ceramic plein-air "Porcelana inaczej" in Walbrzych, painting plein-airs in Kamion, Szczyrk and Mikolow.
