18k white gold, set with a line of old mine-cut diamonds approx. 2.20 ct. This type of brooch, normally pinned on the bodice of ladies, was called a 'honeymoon'. Between 1880 and 1890, moon-shaped diamond brooches were highly fashionable and the crescent moon ones became a popular gift to brides as they symbolised a new relationship.
