brass, casting, color enamel, dimensions 31 x 18 cm, when folded 18 x 11 x 1.5 cm, Russia, ca. mid-19th century.

Three-winged, hinged brass casting with a depiction of the main feasts of the Orthodox Church, so called "composition" - "composition", forming when opened a small kind of altar for private worship and devotion. Exceptionally good casting and with well-preserved hot-laid two-color enamel indicates a large devotional production center where the object was made, possibly Moscow. Russia, ca. mid-19th century.
