Biography
Pfishova - Graduate of the graphics department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. She works in painting, illustration, linocut, installation, collage, etc. moving within structures and forms inspired by traditional techniques such as woodcut, linocut and typography. She consistently works within the realm of thought-literature-words and the idea of awareness in the field of polypropylene grids. She is interested in simple graphic forms, signs inspired by relief and intaglio printing, which is the main denominator for painting, illustration and other objects including in photography focusing mainly on simplicity and black and white. He finds himself well suited to tackling social themes.
Awards: 2018 - VII International Biennial of Social and Political Posters, IYMC, Creative for Human Rights, award for poster: "Understand Autism", 2018 - Auschwitz. Finalist in the 2nd New Avant-garde Review of Contemporary Art - Wilson Shaft Gallery, Katowice, Poland. Distinguished in the 2018 CASSUBIA VISUALES International Visual Arts Competition. Finalist for the 2019 BIG Award - CAGE Gallery, Barcelona, Spain. One of the works was selected for the Singulart Collection: Contemporary Polish Art.
