[INTRIGATION, photographs of master bookbinder Witold Bartyzel at his own workshop]. Collection of 6 photographs of Witold Bartyzel at work. Kraków, 1970s.
Photos form. ca. 17.5x20 cm, two smaller ones 13.3x17.8 cm. The bookbinder probably photographed in his workshop, established in 1946 at Kossak Square in Krakow, standing by the guillotine (3 photos), by the bookbinding press (2 photos) and by a stack of books he bound (1 photo). The photos were taken by Wieslaw Ksiazek, a Krakow press photojournalist (stamp. on the back of the larger format photos). Smaller photos in very good condition, larger ones with a transverse sheet crease; one photo stained on the back, one with a tear.
Master W. Bartyzel was one of the active members of the Bookbinders' Section of the Miscellaneous Crafts Guild, becoming its chairman in 1961 (and again in 1965).
