Polish graphic artist, cartoonist, caricaturist, satirist, historian, stage designer (mainly theater, but also film), and one of the forerunners of Polish comics. He was born into a family of painters (the son of Wiktor and Wanda Jasinska) and partly continued this tradition. He published his first newspaper drawing as early as 1936, and studied graphic design at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and art history at Warsaw University. He was also an essayist and writer, as well as an author of television and radio programs. He popularized Polish culture and history. He was an expert on the arms and colors of the Polish Army, white arms and armor, mainly from the period of the First Republic. He chaired the jury that selected the final version of the Order of the Smile, designed by 9-year-old Ewa Chrobak. On March 21, 1969, he was awarded the Order of the Smile, and received the decoration and card with the number 16 on June 18, 1970 in Opole from the hands of Wanda Chotomska. He was later a member of the International Chapter of the Order of the Smile. He illustrated about 300 books and published 20 of his own. He illustrated the most important works of Polish literature, including "Pan Tadeusz" and the Trilogy. Among other things, he is the author of portraits supplementing Jan Matejko's Poczet królów i książąt polskich. He was the author of the almost legendary "Old Clock" comic strip from 1957, as well as three issues of the "Adventures of the armored men and the dog Sharik" series (1970-1971). He also published in a magazine devoted to comics "Relax".
