Tomasz Sętowski
Graduate of IV H. Sienkiewicz High School in Częstochowa (matriculation in 1980), then Higher School of Pedagogy in Częstochowa[2]. Author of works shown in group exhibitions (including "Polish Surrealists" Triennale "Sacrum") and individual exhibitions in Polish and foreign galleries, including Katarzyna Napiórkowska in Warsaw and Anna Kareńska in Poznan, Stricoff Fine Art Ltd. and InterArt in New York; have been featured in magazines - including the monthly "Fantastyka" . His works are in the collections of Teresa Zylis-Gary and Boguslaw Kaczynski. They were on the covers of, among others, Waldemar Łysiak 's book "Ship" and the album of the band Hipgnosis.
He is counted among the creators of the trend called "magical realism". He paints using a traditional method: oil on canvas. In recent years, however, he has also presented prints based on oil paintings, but which are a separate, interesting interpretation of a given subject. In addition, he presents sculptures made occasionally. The Museum of Imagination is his author gallery located in Czestochowa. Awarded by the President of Częstochowa[2] and the Minister of Culture (Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis)[3], among others.
