Daughter of poet Jan Brzechwa. She studied at the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Prof. Eugeniusz Eibisch, and received her diploma in 1955. In 1955 she became a member of the Association of Polish Artists.
In 1970, she received an award from the Ministry of Culture and Art. In 1980 she was awarded the Gold Badge of the ZPAP. Her works are in museum collections in the country (e.g. in the National Museum in Warsaw, the Museum in Kielce, the Museum in Radom, the Copernicus Museum in Torun, in the collections of the National Library in Warsaw, the Ministry of Culture and Art, the BWA in Bialystok, the BWA in Radom and the BWA in Warsaw) and abroad (collections of Columbia University in New York, Clark University of Worcester, Massachusetts) and in collections in the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, USA, Denmark, Israel, Sweden, Canada and France.
