Zofia Stryjeńska is one of the most popular artists of the interwar period and a leading representative of Art Deco in Polish art.
This portfolio published in an edition of 400 pieces numbered and signed by the publisher contains 40 graphics painted in gouache and watercolor with depictions of Polish folk costumes from the Second Polish Republic. The charts were made in the pochoir technique popular for the Art Deco style - printed outlines were hand-painted in gouache and watercolor through a stencil. This makes it possible to obtain a series of almost identical prints.
