Zofia Stankiewicz (born September 14, 1862 in Riznia, Kiev province, died October 4, 1955 in Warsaw) - Polish painter and graphic artist representing the Symbolist trend. In 1882 she began her studies at the Académie Julian in Paris, where her friend Anna Bilinska-Bohdanowiczowa soon joined the Académie at her insistence. Soon after, she returned to Warsaw, where she continued her education in the studios of Miłosz Kotarbiński, Konrad Krzyżanowski and Kazimierz Stabrowski. Since 1904, she devoted herself exclusively to printmaking. In 1911 she won 3rd prize for her aquatint "My Family Home" at the 1st H. Grohman Graphic Competition in Zakopane. Stankiewicz practiced artistic techniques: lithography and linocut, but mainly aquatint and etching. Her work was dominated by architectural themes; many works depict views of old Warsaw (including the Warsaw portfolio, 1922).

Jan Cotty (1801-1885) - after arriving from Switzerland, where he was born, bought in 1866 at auction the former printing house of S. Strąbski at 495 Danielewiczowska St. in Warsaw, changing its signboard to "Printing and Lithography Jan Cotty" and moving it to 29 Senatorska St. After Cotty's death, the printing house was taken over by Józef Filipowicz in 1888, still using the company "Jan Cotty". In 1897 the printing house was moved to 7 Kapucyńska Street, where it was completely destroyed in 1939.
