Zofia of Dembowska Romer was a painter and graphic artist, also a talented portraitist. She was educated
in Vilnius and Cracow. She made her debut in 1909 at a salon at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1911 she married Eugeniusz Romer and settled in Samogitia. She exhibited her works in Riga, Kaunas and Vilnius. She created graphic works in etching and aquatint. In 1941 she was arrested and deported by the Soviets deep into Russia. In 1947 she settled in London, and from 1952 in Montreal. She created until 1963.
