Born in Nowy Sacz in 1943, Zbigniew Czop studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1966-1971) at the Faculty of Painting in the studio of Prof. Hanna Rudzka-Cybisowa and Prof. Tadeusz Kantor. He defended his diploma thesis in the graphics department in the studio of Prof. Mieczyslaw Wejman in 1978. During his studies, he participated in the activities of the cabaret "Barber" at the Medical Academy in Cracow. He also attended lectures on psychiatry by Prof. Antoni Kępiński. In addition, he is involved in advertising graphics, book graphics, interior design, wall painting, easel painting and sculpture.The artist is a member of the Board of the Polish Culture Foundation in Warsaw. In 2012 he became a member of the Art Council of the International Academy of Art - Zakopane. The artist's works are valued, they are in private and institutional collections in Poland (Copper Museum in Legnica, Jagiellonian University Museum) and around the world (France, Denmark, Sweden, USA, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Yugoslavia).
