[VILNA]. Tomb and altar of S-go Kazimierż in the marmor chapel at the Vilnius Cathedral. Steel engraving form. 12x8 on ark. 21x14.8 cm.
Jaworska 144. engraving from the series "Album de Vilna" published in Paris by Jan Kazimierz Wilczynski in the years 1845-1875. The engraving presented here, engraved by Antoni Oleszczynski, comes from the 4th volume, which was published in the years 1848-1852. The engraving depicts the altar in the chapel of St. Casimir during mass. The composition is framed in a thin linear frame. Title under the composition, publisher's dedication below: "Dédié a Madame Mathilde Buczynska Née Comtese Günther" and the name of the printer. Directly above the composition the inscription: "Saint Casimir pray for us", above the title of the publisher: "Album de Vilna, 4-éme Série, N-o 6". Minor local yellowing of the sheet, upper corners stained on the reverse.
