Bronislaw Jozef TOMECKI [1905-1994] - painter, educator, soldier of the Home Army. From 1926 to 1930 he studied at the State School of Decorative Arts and Artistic Industry in Poznań. In 1930 he graduated from the local Department of Graphic Arts under Prof. Jan Wroniecki. In 1935, he graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Vilnius' Stefan Batory University. His works were exhibited in a total of 100 solo exhibitions and several hundred group exhibitions. He was an active member of the community of visual artists and teachers.
