Polish sculptor. In 1856-1861 he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Konstanty Hegel
under Konstanty Hegel, and then in Dresden, Munich, Vienna, Berlin and Paris. From 1873-1886 he lived in Florence, and from 1888 in Rome. He created monuments and sculptures with allegorical themes, portraits and medallions. The most famous realizations: monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Cracow, bust,Juliusz Kossak from 1884 decorating the facade of the Palace of Art from the side of the Planty, "Bachantka" from 1882 depicting a young dancing girl.
